Exeter, the heart of Devon

Exeter is a cathedral city located in the south west of England. The rich history of Exeter can be seen through its Cathedral towers, medieval underground passages and the Old Heritage Jurassic coast. The city is also known for the exciting horse-racing activities as well as the dragon boat racing on the quayside.

Start your visit by going to the Cathedral quarter where you find an excellent example of gothic architecture. Next, visit the Exeter castle, which was built in 1068. Have a stroll in High Street through one of the narrowest streets in Europe. Visit the Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Art Gallery. Discover the historic quayside, where you will find lively events and friendly restaurants. Don’t forget a visit to the West Quarter, where you will discover fascinating history from the mediaeval times.
