TGV Lyria

TGV Lyria In brief

TGV Lyria is the high-speed train that links France and Switzerland, operated jointly by SNCF and CFF, the French and Swiss national railways. Departing from Gare de l’Est and Gare de Lyon in Paris, TGV Lyria travels to major Swiss cities, ski resots and lakes.

Reservations are available up to 3 months before travel; for the best fares, book early.

In just a few hours, the train will whisk you from the heart of the city to the snow-capped Swiss mountains. Breathtaking scenery en-route makes this a very special trip.

The TGV Lyria Network

Our Tip

When leaving from France, you will need to get your ticket stamped on the platform before departure. Yellow machines for this are generally at the entrance to each platform.

Before you board

The Stations:
Both Gare de Lyon and Gare de l’Est in Paris have excellent transport links and car parking facilities.
You can use luggage lockers in the stations to avoid carrying your suitcases around with you, if you arrive with time to spare.
Swiss stations generally have access to a vast network of public transport options.
1st Class passengers travelling from Zurich can enjoy the CFF Lounge in Zurich, where complimentary soft drinks, internet access and newspapers and magazines are available.

Check-in & Boarding:
Don’t forget to validate your ticket before departure! Look for the yellow machines at the entrance to your platform in order to get your ticket stamped.
At the end of each carriage there is space for bulky luggage, and the overhead racks above your seats can store additional bags.
