Reviews & ratings Barcelona - Madrid
Please turn the bright lights off on the train at night. I caught the train from Barcelona to Madrid overnight and was hoping to sleep but the bright lights were left on all night which made sleep very difficult. This made my journey uncomfortable. If this one thing were resolved I believe the comfort of my travel would have been much higher. Please consider this hospitable practice. Thank you.
Thank you Rail Europe for the excellent service. You made our train travel from Barcelona to Madrid pleasant and comfortable.
Good return journey from Barcelona to Madrid and back, tourista class.. Comfortable seats. Speedy journey. Preferred to flying which overall would probably have taken longer. Would have been nice to have English subtitles on the film that was showing. The shared blinds (with the passengers in front and behind, meant that if one person wanted the window blinds closed it affected everyone. I wanted to see the view and that wasn't possible as some else wanted the blinds closed. Good facilities in the on board shop. Screaming children meant the headphones handed out free were worth their weight in gold !
I would feel more safe with a seatbelt at the speed of this train . In case of a derailment seatbelts will save many lives. Thank You.
From booking on internet through to the end of the trip it all was easy and efficient. It was helped by accidentally booking accommodation near both stations. Definitely recommended as alternative to flying and missing the scenery and probably saving no time.
The cafeteria services was very slow and not all menu items were available
It was a comfortable trip. We all enjoyed. Thanks
It was a really good experience to travel by train. I do have only one notice. The food was pork which we as Muslim don't eat. If it possible to give varieties for passengers to choose their meal. In overall everything was great.
OK....fast train most enjoyable...galley for service to first class should be closer to cabin #1 so staff/food/trolleys do not have to pass through cabin #3...not good PR!!
The train was really modern, and the seats were airplane like. Also, we were provided with headphones to listen to radio and on-board entertainment. However, the ticket is really expensive though.
I think it was more comfortable to travel by train than by plane.
The screen which shows the time, temp. etc is located on the up right of the coach so for a person seating in the right window, like in case, it is no easy to see it. That's the bad thing compared with the Japanese Shinkansen which the screen is in the middle of the coach.
nicr trip, typical trip with fast train around europe, i like that access to the lines/lanes are only for people with tickets. it really adds comfort to the passengers. so they don't need to check ticket on board again and disturbing your sleep :)
I really enjoyed my travel on Renfe. It was comfortable, affordable and convenient.
This train was on time, very comfortable (I love the adjustable footrests), and the bathroom was clean as a whistle. I also loved the little info screen that told us how fast we were going.
