Zürich, the largest city of Switzerland
Zürich is a major financial centre and one of the most preferred Swiss destinations. In 2012, it was voted as the best city to live in Europe. It is an elegant metropolis on the lake bearing its name, with views over the snow-covered Alps, home to over 50 museums, 100 galleries, top hotels, shops and restaurants. Obviously it has to be Zürich! With its excellent public transport connections, this prime Swiss destination is ideal for excursions to the rest of the country. 5 days there, and you will get to know all about Zürich and neighbouring towns.
Bern, the capital of Switzerland
Bern is the capital city of the Swiss Confederation and the fourth most populous city in Switzerland. Bern is surrounded on three sides by the river Aare, and is located just west of the centre of Switzerland and north of the Bernese Alps. The magnificent countryside around Bern was formed by glaciers during the Ice Age. The historic old town of Bern, is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Reviews & ratings Zurich - Bern
I travelled in TGV lyria for the second time in 3 years. The first time was in 2010 with my wife and children and we travelled from Rome to Florence and later from Florence to Venice. Though trains are still as punctual, the upholstry is now a little worn and the train looked more untidy. The W/C close to our seats was full and overflowing and on the way back dirty. The staff however was extremely helpful and courtious. All in all the experience wasnt quite upto the standards I had come to expect from my last trip.
