Travelling through Spain is an enchanting experience on an AVE high speed train operated by RENFE. You’ll enjoy your journey on the most modern train fleet in Europe, and also benefit from attentive service in all classes of travel. The full name Alta Velocidad Española literally means Spanish High Speed, and AVE also means bird in Spanish. The RENFE operated trains definitely stay true to their name, reaching speeds of up to 300km/h (186mph). The AVE trains are a luxurious and efficient way to get around the country. With excellent customer service, punctuality and easy to understand fares, the AVE network continues to be a great boost to Spain’s tourism and business. On time    Convenience
  • "No ticket"
I ordered an online ticket and my credit card was charged. At the station there was no record of a ticket having been purchased and I was not provided with a ticket. I had to purchase another ticket at the station. My requests for a refund for the ticket that was not provided were denied.    Convenience
  • "Unexpectedly enjoyable journey"
We were a family of 4 travelling from Valencia to Barcelona - we booked online from Malaysia, travelling first class and had loads of room. The service was unexpectedly great - water, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks with biscuit snacks offered early into the journey then another round of drinks and a light lunch of sandwiches later on - all very tasty and served nicely by staff that spoke good English after they endured our poor Spanish! Highly recommended to book in advance. Only downside were the toilets which were pretty grotty - also there was no wifi. Tried to give 5 stars for value for money but my iPad won't let me!    Convenience
  • "Malaga to Seville"
Very smooth efficient trip. Good trains . no problems    Convenience
  • "Malaga_> Madrid"
There was a problem with the seating there were 3 people with the same seats and we were one of them. And we had to wait about 20 minutes to be transferred to first class. Which the inspector did.And he handled the situation very nicely. Other thank that all was good. Thank you, Mounir    Convenience
  • "1st class from Malaga-Madrid"
The train journey was great. We booked online and opted for 1st class which was supposed to include the drinks and snacks at the terminal 1st class lounge. This was not the case which I found extremely disappointing. We may as well booked cheaper 2nd class seats    Convenience
