    "The way to travel!"

      James w.
My wife and I booked the Renfe Ave high speed train between Barcelona and Madrid in September, 2014. We booked it online from Chicago, got a great price, and printed out our tickets and took them with us. Everyone in the Estacion Sants was very helpful and we found our seats and stowed our luggage without any problems. The ride was wonderful: very smooth, no bumps, very quiet, and of course, very fast. The three hour trip seemed even quicker since our seats were so comfortable. We would highly recommend Renfe over any other mode of transportation, this is the way to travel.    Value for money  Convenience

Very convenient. But trains are outdated. Coach class is very uncomfortable and very noisy. I felt like I was in a third world country. But had a good time in Lisbon anyway! Chris    Value for money  Convenience

It is very good. But it was too much announcement in the train station for Atocha every moments, I stayed in the station for long time and I got headache for that. Except that it is comfortable    Value for money  Convenience

We traveled on the train between Spain and Santiago De Compostela on 17th September. It was a very enjoyable journey. The seats were comfortable and ride was exceptionally smooth. The Train staff was very polite and helpful. Especially the Ticket Inspector and the coach attendant on duty were very courteous. All in all, an exceptionally enjoyable experience. Only one suggestion that will make the journey more enriching for foreign travelers like us. If more information regarding the area/towns/cities being crossed is provided either through announcement or LCD display available in the coaches.    Value for money  Convenience

Our experience was very good. The service and convenience was excellent and I would have no hesitation in recommending this to my friends. We also used RENFE on our trip from Seville to Madrid and travelled First or Priority Class. The lunch served and overall service was excellent. Michael Castelino    Value for money  Convenience

The high speed train from Cordoba to Granada was late to start, but the ride itself was comfortable and quick. We enjoyed the views out our window.    Value for money  Convenience

    "Best way to see Spain"

      Dennis b.  25/09/2014
My travel companion flew to Madrid from Malaga, I left a day later by high speed train. At 2.5 hrs to go halfway across the country, city centre to city centre, far less time through security and check-in, more comfortable seating and leg room, and getting to see the countryside up close at 295 km/h, it was more economical and to me the best choice. My travel companion took the next leg by train with me Madrid to Barcelona - 18 cities in Spain are served by high speed train - now he's sold on the advantages. Only gripe is I found 1st class little better better than tourist (I did one each over the two trips), the only difference being a free newspaper and bar/meal service to your seat that only came once and never collected packaging later. Otherwise Renfe AVE service is unbeatable, our North American systems are so far behind this excellent experience.    Value for money  Convenience
